Uber fare calculator

Uber does not expose a public quote API. We reconstruct fares from published minimums and crowdsourced per-city rate sheets, then run them against real OpenStreetMap distances - same pattern as our taxi engine, with an explicit surge range so you are never shown fake precision.

Estimate any trip

Pick two addresses anywhere we support taxi tariffs - rideshare comparison fills in automatically after routing when data exists for that city.

Estimate your taxi fare

Real distance from OpenStreetMap, real tariffs from city authorities. No surge pricing tricks.

Common questions

How accurate is this Uber fare calculator?
Uber does not publish a public pricing API. We model fares from crowdsourced rate sheets and regulator disclosures where available, then apply the same distance-and-time math Uber uses on trip receipts (base + distance + time). We always show a band for surge because real-time multipliers are unknowable off-app.
Does Uber surge pricing apply?
Yes. The estimates here assume light traffic and little or no surge. During peak demand Uber applies multipliers - use our upper bound as a rough peak-case sanity check, not a quote.
Should I compare Uber with a taxi?
Often yes. Metered taxis use fixed published tariffs without surge; Uber may be cheaper off-peak and more expensive at peak. Use our taxi pages for the same city to compare side-by-side on identical routes.
Which cities are covered?
